3 BODY PROBLEM Season 2 is officially coming to Netflix this year, bringing one of the streamer’s biggest sci-fi stories back after more than two years away. Netflix included the new season in its confirmed 2026 lineup.
Filming wrapped earlier this year in Budapest, with Jess Hong, Benedict Wong, Liam Cunningham and Marlo Kelly returning alongside new additions including Claudia Doumit, Ellie de Lange and GAME OF THRONES star Alfie Allen. Season 2 will consist of six episodes.
And things are about to get much bigger. The creators have teased a more cosmic and unpredictable chapter as humanity begins preparing for the San-Ti invasion, with Season 2 moving deeper into the story of Cixin Liu’s trilogy.
The San-Ti are still centuries away from Earth, but thankfully we only have a few more months to wait. 3 BODY PROBLEM is officially returning in 2026.
