Patrick Dorgu Forced Off After Just 30 Minutes for Denmark Against Wales as Manchester United Injury Fears Grow

Manchester United have been handed another potential injury concern after Patrick Dorgu was forced off during Denmark’s UEFA Nations League clash against Wales on Sunday.

The 21-year-old defender started the match at Parken Stadium in Copenhagen but was unable to continue beyond the half-hour mark after going down with an apparent injury.

Dorgu received treatment on the pitch before being substituted in the 30th minute, with Mohamed Daramy introduced in his place. Live match commentary confirmed that the substitution was made because of an injury.

The Manchester United player was subsequently seen limping as he made his way off the field, increasing concerns over the seriousness of the problem. Reports indicate that the exact nature of the injury is not yet known, although Dorgu appeared to be holding the back of his leg.

Dorgu’s Injury Comes at a Difficult Time

The incident will be particularly concerning for Manchester United, with Dorgu having established himself as an important option for the club this season.

The defender has also been involved in all five of Manchester United’s Premier League matches so far this campaign, making his fitness an important issue for the club as the season progresses.

Dorgu’s versatility has also made him valuable to both club and country. Although primarily a left-back, he has been used in more advanced positions, including on the wing for Denmark against Wales.

His early departure therefore represents a concern not only for Denmark during the international break but also for Manchester United ahead of their upcoming fixtures.

Extent of Injury Yet to Be Determined

At this stage, there is no confirmed diagnosis or indication of how long Dorgu could be sidelined.

The Danish medical team will need to assess the player before a clearer picture of the injury can emerge. Further examinations over the coming days should determine whether the problem is minor or something that could keep him out for an extended period.

Manchester United supporters will therefore be waiting for an official update rather than drawing conclusions from the initial scenes.

Another Injury Concern for Manchester United

Dorgu’s setback comes shortly after Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes also suffered an injury concern while on international duty with Portugal.

The timing adds to the club’s concerns during the international break, when players are away from Carrington representing their respective countries.

For Michael Carrick, the immediate priority will be to establish the extent of Dorgu’s injury and determine whether he will be available when club football resumes.

For now, Manchester United will be hoping that Dorgu’s early withdrawal was purely precautionary and that further medical assessments reveal no significant damage.

Patrick Dorgu’s condition will be monitored closely over the next few days, with further updates expected once the extent of the injury becomes clearer.
