Smiley faces changed after CID boss s,torms Swedru Business School, gives headmaster 24 hours to produce student att+ckers
COP Lydia Donkor, the Director-General of the C,riminal Investigations Department, has taken a firm stance on the v+olent att+ck on a student during a zonal athletics competition in Agona Swedru.
She visited the Swedru Business School to demand that the headmaster produce the offending students within 24 hours.
As the meeting took place on February 23, and the 24-hour d+adline will elapse later today.
According to reports, the school headteacher, Kojo Frimpong, and other school authorities, who were initially smiling, suddenly changed after the CID boss told them they had to produce the students of the school who were captured in viral videos of an ass+ult of a student from a rival school.
She said, “Somebody has worn your uniform to create such a scene or to conduct himself in such a manner; it is giving your school a bad name. So, I’m sure you are concerned that it’s your school shirt. That’s because I wanted you to control that it is your school shirt. So, if that is your school shirt, and somebody has worn it and is att+cking a fellow human being in such a manner, as a school, you should be concerned to find out who wore that shirt and hand them over to the police, no?
“So, I am mentioning now that I’m giving you 24 hours to produce the people in that shirt who att+cked the boy. The 24 hours start now,” she added.
COP Lydia Donkor went on to w+rn the school authorities that if the suspects are not produced within the stated d+adline, the police would s,torm the school as it does in handling cr+minal cases.
“If you fail to produce them, the means law enforcement employs to fish out suspects, we are going to adopt it, but because this is a school environment and there are other innocent students who were not part of the sports or were not part of that ass+ult… The police will not do what I’ve asked you to do to produce them. You adopt means by which other people who are not concerned might be found wanting,” she w+rned.
