In Gambia, thousands of older European women fly there every year for one specific reason.
It’s called “Bumsters.”
Young, fit, charming Gambian men patrol the famous Senegambia Strip beaches day and night, scanning for older Western women traveling alone. British, Dutch, Swedish, German… they all come. đ
The women get attention, romance, and companionship. The men get money, gifts, and if they’re lucky, a UK visa. đ
These women are not shy about it.
One British woman in her 60s, who had visited 15 times in 8 year,s went on live TV and said:
“You could have a different man every night. It’s paradise.” đ
But here’s where it gets complicated
The Gambian government is emb+rr+ssed. Their own Tourism Board director went public, saying, “What we want is quality tourists⊠not tourists that come just for sex.”
Meanwhile, the bumsters say: “We’re not expl+iting them. They get treated like a Queen. We get money to survive. What’s wrong with that?” đ€·đżââïž
