As Iran prepares to appoint a new Supreme Leader, Israel has issued a w.arning that whoever takes the position could become a military targ+t.

Following the d@ath of Ali Khamenei during m+ssile strikes in the ongoing conflict between Iran, Israel and the United States, the question of succession has become urgent.

In a message posted on X, Israel Katz said the next Iranian Supreme Leader would be “an unequivocal target for eliminati0n.”

The statement reflects the tense environment surrounding the leadership transition in Iran.

Iran’s Supreme Leader holds the highest authority in the country, overseeing military policy, foreign affairs and key national decisions.

According to analysts, the public warning suggests that the leadership position itself could now carry significant security risks.

Experts say such thr+ats could c0mplicate Iran’s succession process because senior clerics and political figures responsible for choosing the next leader may also face security concerns.

Under Iran’s constitution, the decision will be made by the Assembly of Experts, a body of 88 clerics who vote on the appointment.
