Mr. Peter Obi Condemns Maiduguri Explosions, Calls for Urgent Action

Former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, has condemned the deadly explosions that occurred in Maiduguri, Borno State, yesterday, describing them as a national tragedy.

In a post on his X account this Tuesday, Obi highlighted the growing insecurity across the country, noting recent incidents in Kwara, Nasarawa, Kogi, Plateau, Sokoto, Benue, and the Federal Capital Territory.

Obi urged national leaders to prioritize the protection of lives over ceremonial trips, stressing the need for immediate action and strong leadership to confront insecurity.

He extended condolences to victims and their families, praying for the departed and calling on the nation to rise with urgency, responsibility, and compassion to safeguard its citizens.
