Plane with 114 people Onboard Cr@shes, 67 Rescued
A Colombian Air Force aircraft carrying 114 service members has cr@shed in southern Colombia near the border with Peru, leaving dozens inj¥red and sparking a major rescue operation.
The incident occurred around 9 a.m. on Monday as a Hercules C-130 military transport plane attempted to take off from an airstrip near Puerto Leguízamo. Moments after liftoff, the aircraft reportedly lost altitude and went down in a rural area.
Local official Carlos Arbey Cleves confirmed that all 114 occupants were service members. At least 67 people have been rescued so far and rushed to nearby hospitals, with several reported to be in serious condition.
Witness footage captured the terrifying moment the plane struggled to gain height before cr@shing. Images from the scene show a massive f+re engulfing the wr+ckage, leaving much of the aircraft d+stroyed.
Pedro Arnulfo Sánchez said military teams are already at the crash site, but the exact number of casualties and the cause of the cr+sh remain unclear.
Describing the incident as a national tragedy, Sánchez extended condolences to affected families and urged the public to avoid speculation as investigations continue.
