Kwankwaso’s Son Dumps NNPP, Set to Join ADC

Mustapha Kwankwaso, son of Rabiu Kwankwaso, has resigned from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPC), signaling a shift in his political alignment.

He announced the decision this Monday, via social media, stating that his resignation was deliberate and that he is in the process of joining the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Kwankwaso said his move was driven by his belief that the ADC offers a credible platform to deliver meaningful change, particularly in Kano State.

He expressed optimism about the new phase of his political career, noting that the party’s vision aligns with his goals for good governance, economic growth, and improved welfare.

The development comes amid broader political realignments involving opposition figures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
