Honestly, I must commend the governor of Anambra State for the steps he is taking to sanitize the state. For too long, the activities of some native doctors and Ezenwanyi have been giving Anambra and the entire Igbo land a bad image.Anambra people are naturally known for business, hard work, and entrepreneurship. Our people travel across Nigeria and the world to hustle legitimately. But because of the rise of “Oke ite,” “get rich quick,” and ritual-related practices, many outsiders have started believing that Igbo wealth comes from dark means.This is not our tradition. The true Igbo culture is built on trade, skill, hard work, and persistence not shortcuts to wealth.If we truly care about the reputation of Igbo land, then this mädness must stop.
Our name and our future are too important to be destroyed by a few people chasing quick money.
