Arsenal Critics ‘Not Laughing Anymore’ After EPL Title Win – Saka
Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has said critics are “not laughing anymore” after the club secured its first Premier League title in more than 20 years.
The Gunners were confirmed champions on Tuesday after Manchester City played a 1-1 draw against Bournemouth, giving Arsenal an unassailable four-point lead with one game remaining this season.
Players and supporters celebrated the title victory at Arsenal’s London Colney training ground and the Emirates Stadium after the club ended years of criticism over failed title challenges.
Saka said Arsenal had faced mockery and accusations of “bottling” the title race in previous seasons, but insisted the team had now silenced doubters with their performances.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and former coach Arsene Wenger also praised the team’s achievement, while Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola congratulated the club on winning the league title.
