Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick has confirmed that midfielder Mason Mount is unlikely to feature in Tuesday’s Premier League encounter against West Ham United.
The Reds travel to London aiming for a fifth consecutive victory since Carrick took charge, but they will do so without key players.

Defender Matthijs de Ligt is also expected to miss the trip, though Carrick noted that his recovery is progressing positively. “We’ll see how he develops… he’s moving in the right direction, but Mason’s a little bit closer than him,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Patrick Dorgu remains sidelined, but Carrick expressed optimism that the rest of the squad is in good condition ahead of what he described as another test of character in the capital.
United has enjoyed a fine run of form since Carrick returned to the helm of affairs, recording vital victories over city rivals, Man City and Arsenal.
They currently sit 4th with 44 points
