JUST IN: 2027: “My Friends in APC Are in Slavery” – Dele Momodu Laments
A publisher and chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dele Momodu, has voiced concern over the leadership approach of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking during an appearance on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television, Momodu alleged that Tinubu’s style of governance reflects what he described as a “one-man rule” within Nigeria’s political landscape.
He expressed sympathy for some of his associates in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), suggesting that they are constrained and unable to act independently.
According to him, recent political developments indicate that key opposition figures are being pushed—intentionally or otherwise—into a unified platform. He argued that this shift is reshaping the country’s political dynamics and strengthening alternative parties.
Momodu further criticised the concentration of political influence, noting that such a structure undermines pluralism. He maintained that while Tinubu’s administration may not intend it, its actions have contributed to consolidating opposition forces.
He concluded by stressing the need to move away from what he termed a centralized style of leadership, insisting that restoring balance in governance should be a priority for the country.
