Ghanaian music producer Dr Spooky is dead
Ghanaian music producer Dr Spooky has reportedly passed away.
According to circulating reports, the respected beatmaker died on Monday, February 23, 2026, with news of his passing surfacing across social media the following day.
One of his associates, Don Dee, shared a photo of the late producer on Facebook with a short but emotional caption: “Rest Well Drspooky Beatz.”
Popular hits DJ, DJ Ashmen, also confirmed the sad development. In a post shared on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, he revealed how long they had known each other.
“I heard sàd news today about a music producer I have known close to 2 decades at 989 Studio at Adabraka. Rest Well Dr Spooky,” he wrote.
DJ Ashmen noted that Dr Spooky previously worked at 989 Studio in Adabraka, Accra, where he built lasting relationships within the music industry.
