In the early 90s, there was a very popular church called Zoe ministries
The church was headed by Pastor Anwuzia.
He was preaching one day and collapsed. When he was taken to the hospital, doctors confirmed that both of his kidneys had failed.
They couldn’t treat him in Asaba, so he had to be transferred to St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos. Upon arrival, there was no improvement, and he was subsequently recommended to travel to the US for treatment. This was during the COVID period.
The air ambulance they had arranged to airlift him to the US arrived at the airport. While arrangements were ongoing for the flight, he declared that he had received a revelation from God not to travel to America for treatment. The white doctors (Oyinbo) who had come were shocked and disappointed with the St. Nicholas Hospital management for not obtaining proper consent before asking them to come. After some back-and-forth, they said the last person who could give consent for them to forcibly airlift him was his wife. When she was called, she told them that if her husband said God had spoken to him, then indeed God had spoken to him.
The Oyinbo doctors got frustrated and left, and he was returned to St. Nicholas Hospital.
Upon arrival, the hospital refused to admit him and demanded ₦1 million. They seemed to just want to frustrate them, but the family agreed and paid.
To cut a long story short, on the fourth day, during a routine check-up, one of the doctors discovered that one of his kidneys was already working. The second doctor, who checked to confirm the miracle that had just happened, got the shock of his life – both kidneys were now working well and fine.
He was later discharged and has been doing well ever since.
Our God is a miracle-working God!
