Iran Offers Support to Help Nigeria Fight Terrorism
Iran has expressed readiness to support Nigeria in its fight against terrorism, according to the country’s ambassador to Nigeria, Gholamreza Mahdavi Raja.
The envoy stated that Iran condemns terrorism in all forms and is willing to cooperate with countries battling insurgency, including Nigeria, which continues to face threats from groups such as Boko Haram and ISWAP.
Raja noted that Iran itself has experienced terrorist attacks and is ready to share its counter-terrorism experience with Nigerian authorities as part of broader international cooperation against violent extremism.
The statement comes amid ongoing security challenges in parts of Nigeria and global discussions on stronger international collaboration against terrorism.
