JUST IN: Rivers Senator Mpigi Dies At 64
Rivers Senator Barinada Mpigi has passed away at 64. He was the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Works and represented Rivers South-East Senatorial District.
Mpigi died after a brief illness at a private hospital in Lagos. He had a notable career, serving in the House of Representatives from 2011 to 2019 before moving to the Senate.
His death has been met with tributes from colleagues, including Akin Alabi, who described him as a dear friend.
