BREAKING: Matthew Rhys has officially won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for his performance in THE BEAST IN ME.

Rhys earned the award for his dark, unsettling performance in the limited series, adding another major win to a career that already includes an Emmy for THE AMERICANS.

But the night became even bigger when Rhys also won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for WIDOW’S BAY, making him the first performer ever to win lead acting Emmys across drama, comedy and limited series.

Two acting Emmys in one night, and one of them for THE BEAST IN ME. Matthew Rhys just turned the 2026 Emmys into a career defining night.
