Isaac Fayose Questions Nigeria’s Plan to Abandon BVAS After Billions Spent on Elections

Isaac Fayose has criticized plans to roll back electoral reforms, questioning why the government would abandon systems like BVAS after spending nearly a trillion naira on election reforms.

He added that in 2023, further reforms were introduced, including the adoption of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) and plans for electronic voting, following recommendations by former President Goodluck Jonathan.

According to him, an additional ₦359 billion was reportedly spent during this phase.
