Ohafia Youths, Women Protest Senator Kalu in Umuahia, Reject 2027 Support
Ohafia women and youths protested against Senator Orji Uzor Kalu in Umuahia, accusing him of community betrayal and neglect, while police dispersed the demonstrators with teargas.
They accused him of betraying the community by labeling Ohafia an IPOB zone in 2023, which they said led to military operations and voter intimidation.
Protesters also criticized him for neglecting essential development projects, including roads and hospitals.
