Ovie Success Ossai, the Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, has asserted that the 2027 presidential race will not be a viable contest for Peter Obi and the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
In a social media post shared on Monday, February 16, 2026, Ossai argued that the political heavyweights often cited as challengers to the current administration lack the necessary domestic support from their own state governors.
He pointed out that while Peter Obi hails from Anambra, Atiku Abubakar from Adamawa, and Nasir El-Rufai from Kaduna, the governors of those respective states are currently aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“2027 not for Peter and ADC. Peter Obi is from Anambra state, the Governor is supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Atiku Abubakar is from Adamawa state, the Governor is supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Mallam El-Rufai is from Kaduna state, the Governor is supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,”
He maintained that 2027 is not for Peter Obi or ADC political party.
