Portugal, Nigeria to clash in international friendly
The Super Eagles will conclude their June international window with a high-profile friendly against Portugal as preparations continue for future competitions under coach Eric Chelle.
The fixture is scheduled for this Wednesday at the Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa in Leiria, Portugal, with kick-off set for 8:45 p.m. Nigerian time.
Nigeria heads into the match unbeaten in its last five games after victories over Zimbabwe and Jamaica, as well as a 2-2 draw against Poland in Warsaw.
The Super Eagles will be without Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman and Femi Azeez, but experienced players including Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, Calvin Bassey, Samuel Chukwueze and Moses Simon remain available for selection.
