White House Urges Iran to Strike Deal as Trump Hints at Force
The White House has warned that Iran would be wise to reach a deal with the United States, as President Donald Trump again hinted at possible military action. The warning comes as both countries resume indirect talks mediated by Oman.
U.S. Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, said Iran should agree to terms with the Trump administration. Trump also suggested the US could strike if negotiations fail, as American military presence increases in the Middle East.
Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian said his country does not want war but will not accept pressure or humiliation. Tehran confirmed it is drafting a framework for continued talks, though disagreements remain over key conditions.
Meanwhile, both nations are showing military strength. The US has deployed additional forces near Iran, while Iran has begun military drills in the Strait of Hormuz, raising global concerns over security and oil supply routes.
