South African Police Arrest Female Suspect Over M¥rder Of Nigerian Bolt Driver
South African police have apprehended a female suspect in connection with the k+lling of a Nigerian e-hailing driver, Isaac Satlat, in Pretoria West, a case that has sparked outrage among Nigerians locally and abroad.
The 22-year-old victim was reportedly att@cked while on duty on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, during a ride with passengers he had picked up through the Bolt app.Authorities revealed that Satlat was allegedly targeted by a male and female pair who hijacked his vehicle. His body and the st%len car were later found the same day in Atteridgeville.
A video circulating on social media showed the vi%lent att@ck inside the vehicle, which police condemned as deeply disturbing and urged the public not to share.The Gauteng Provincial Commissioner of Police, Lieutenant General Tommy Mthombeni, has assigned a senior detective to fully investigate the circumstances of the att@ck and ensure all suspects face prosecution.
Investigators are reviewing dashcam footage and witness statements to reconstruct the events leading to the m¥rder. Police confirmed that the arrested female suspect is scheduled to appear before the Atteridgeville Magistrate’s Court on Monday, February 16, 2026, facing charges including hijacking and m¥rder.
