Yaw Dabo withdraws GHS1 million suit against Oboy Siki after Dr Frank Amoakohene’s intervention
Kumwood actors Yaw Dabo and Oboy Siki have reportedly settled their recent defamation suit out of court after the Ashanti Regional Minister intervened.
This comes after Yaw Dabo sued Oboy Siki for allegedly making defamatory statements about him.
Oboy Siki, in an interview, questioned his colleagues’ role in football management as well as his bedroom life, as he alleged that Yaw Dabo was battling inf+rtility and could not give birth.
He claimed Yaw Dabo had also ins+lted President John Dramani Mahama.
Well, Yaw Dabo, not pleased by these assertions, filed the defamation suit against Oboy Siki, demanding GH₵1 million in d+mages.
Thr two actors made their first appearance in court on February 23, 2026. However, it later emerged that the court had adjourned for the parties to discuss a possible out-of-court settlement.
Less than 48 hours later, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, intervened, and Dabo has agreed to withdraw the suit against Oboy Siki.
In a video that has surfaced online, two actors met with Dr. Amoakohene and explained that they were no longer going to pursue the court case.
