Borno Att@ck: Boko Haram Reportedly K+lls Nigerian Army Commander Lt. Col. Umar Farouq
Lieutenant Colonel Umar Farouq, a senior officer and Commanding Officer in the Nigerian Army, was reportedly k+lled during a Boko Haram att@ck on a military base in Kukawa, Borno State.
The att@ckers also targeted residents in the Kukawa community. A military source confirmed Farouq and several of his men as casualties.
This comes less than 72 hours after another senior officer, Lieutenant Colonel SI Iliyasu of 222 Battalion, was k+lled in Konduga, Borno.
