Iranian Drone Strikes Fuel Tank at Dubai Airport, Halting Flights at World’s Busiest Hub
An Iranian drone slammed into a fuel tank near Dubai International Airport early Monday, igniting a massive blaze that sent thick black smoke across the skyline and forced the immediate suspension of all flights at the globe’s busiest international gateway.
No casualties were reported from the strike, the fourth such Iranian drone attack on the facility since late February. Civil defense teams quickly contained the fire, allowing limited operations to resume after several hours.
The assault comes amid escalating retaliation by Tehran against U.S. and Israeli strikes that have hammered Iranian military sites under Operation Epic Fury. President Trump has declared Iran’s air defenses and missile production “decimated,” while Iran has targeted Gulf commerce and neutral hubs to pressure global economies.
