Mojtaba Khamenei, Iran’s new supreme leader, reportedly survived a US and Israeli airstr+ke last month after stepping out of a building minutes before it was hit, according to The Telegraph.
An audio recording from a closed-door leadership meeting said he had just left the residence around 9:32 a.m. and returned shortly before a m+ssile struck, leaving him with minor leg injur!es.
The attack targeted a key leadership compound in Tehran, where intelligence suggested former supreme leader Ali Khamenei was meeting officials.
The strike k,illed Ali Khamenei, several senior commanders, and members of Mojtaba’s family, including his wife and son.
Multiple m!ssiles hit different parts of the compound, including residential areas.
Since the incident and his elevation to leadership, Mojtaba has stayed out of the public eye, with reports suggesting he may be receiving medical care abroad.
