NOTORIOUS ANAMBRA CULTIST NEUTRALISED: POLICE RECOVER WEAPONS, HUNT GANG LEADER

In a bold early-morning operation, the Anambra State Police Command has neutralised Chukwuka Solomon, a 21-year-old suspected armed robber and feared cultist, in Amikwo community, Awka South LGA.

The raid, carried out by the Special Anti-Cultism Squad, Enugu-Ukwu, saw Solomon attempt to flee before he was shot dead. Police recovered a pump-action gun, two locally-made pistols, and a cache of ammunition from his hideout.

SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Command’s spokesman, revealed that the operation also repelled an ambush by other gang members, leaving blood evidence suggesting some escaped with gunshot injuries.

Solomon, initially handed over to police by vigilant community members, admitted during interrogation that he belonged to the Supreme Vikings Confraternity (“Baggars”) and worked under a notorious figure known as “Aza Man”, linked to criminal terror in Awka and environs.
