UN General Assembly adopts draft resolution on peace in Ukraine, US abstains

The UN General Assembly (UNGA) has voted in favour of a draft resolution reasserting support for “lasting peace” in Ukraine.

The resolution was approved with 107 votes in favour, 12 against and 51 abstentions. The US abstained from the vote, while Russia voted against.
