NAPTIP Secures Life Imprisonment for Two Guards over Six-Year Abuse of Minor
The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has successfully secured the conviction and life imprisonment of two security guards who repeatedly raped a young girl over a six-year period in Abuja.
A press statement issued this Friday by NAPTIP’s Head of Press and Public Relations, Vincent Adekoye, identified the convicts as 30-year-old James Sule and 25-year-old Adamu Yau.
Justice S.M. Mayana of the Federal Capital Territory High Court 46, sitting in Apo, Abuja, sentenced both men to life imprisonment without the option of a fine following a thorough judicial process.
The agency emphasized that this landmark ruling serves as a stern warning to sexual predators and underscores the government’s commitment to protecting vulnerable children from exploitation and prolonged abuse.
