Tinubu to swear in Disu as substantive IGP Wednesday

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Wednesday swear in Olatunji Disu as the substantive Inspector-General of Police following his unanimous endorsement by the Nigeria Police Council, the Presidency has said.

The President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said this, this Monday, noting that the ceremony will take place during the Federal Executive Council meeting at the State House, Abuja.

Onanuga said the council meeting was presided over by Tinubu and attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, state governors and other senior officials in line with constitutional provisions.

He added that governors including Babajide Sanwo-Olu and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike commended Disu’s professionalism and track record in crime control.
