Wike-Backed PDP Announces Candidates For Oyo Reps Seats
The Nyesom Wike-backed faction of the Peoples Democratic Party in Oyo State has announced its candidates for the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The candidates emerged during primaries conducted across the state on Sunday, with the party releasing the names in a statement issued this Wednesday by its state organising secretary, Stephen Olaniyi.
The faction named 14 candidates to contest the elections across various federal constituencies, including Samson Fatola for Ibadan South-West/North-West and Idris Olanrewaju for Oyo East/Oyo West/Atiba/Afijio.
Others include Elizabeth Alao for Ido/Ibarapa East, Rotimi Ajumobi for Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa/Kajola, and Solomon Odeyemi for Egbeda/Ona-Ara.
The party expressed confidence in the candidates’ chances at the polls and urged members to remain united ahead of the elections.
