Native doctor ‘Aka Mmuo Mmiri’ taken to river shrine after arrest in Nnewi, apologies to Anambra govt

A native doctor popularly known as Aka Mmuo Mmiri was on Thursday taken to his alleged water shrine after his arrest in Nnewi.

The suspect was led by operatives of Agunechemba Security Operatives to a river where he reportedly performs spiritual invocations.

According to reports, he was asked to summon a crocodile which he allegedly claims appears during his rituals. However, the crocodile did not appear despite being given time to call it.

Following the visit to the river, the operatives continued with a search of his residence.

While being paraded, the native doctor also issued a public apology to the Anambra State Government, led by Chukwuma Soludo.

“I am apologising to the Anambra State Government led by Governor Chukwuma Soludo. I will not make the mistake of performing unusual sacrifices in Anambra State natural waters again,” he said.
