35-year-old Ghanaian man living in US dìes while clearing snow from his car
A Ghanaian man living in the US, Patrick Sarpong aka Nana Sika has l0st his life after being s,truck by a tractor-trailer during a s,evere winter st0rm in Massachusetts.
The incident occurred late Monday night near mile marker 104.6 in Hopkinton, according to the Massachusetts State Police.
Sarpong, a resident of Vernon, Connecticut, was reportedly returning home from work amid heavy snowfall.
Police say he had pulled his vehicle to the edge of the westbound lanes, partly in the breakdown lane and partly in the travel lane, to clear accumulated snow from his car.
While outside the vehicle, a passing tractor-trailer s,truck him.
First responders from the Westborough Fire Department and regional medical services arrived shortly after the emergency call.
Despite their efforts, Sarpong was pronounced d3ad after being rushed to a nearby hospital.
He was 35-years old.
