OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM CHIEF AUSTIN C. OGUEJIOFOR, CHAIRMAN, FIRST ROTECH GROUP OF COMPANIES LIMITED, IN RESPONSE TO ALLEGATIONS BY MR. IFEANYI MICHAEL UDEZU AND VERYDARKMAN (VDM)

The Management of First Rotech Group of Companies Limited wishes to address the public regarding the false and malicious allegations recently circulated by Mr. Ifeanyi Michael Udezu and propagated by the social media commentator known as VeryDarkMan (VDM).

Chief Austin C. Oguejiofor is a respected real estate developer and a prominent member of the Abuja business community. Over the years, he has built a reputation based on integrity, professionalism, and lawful business practices. His decades of service in the real estate sector have contributed significantly to property development and economic activity within the Federal Capital Territory.

The facts of the matter are as follows:

– Mr. Ifeanyi Michael Udezu entered into a land purchase transaction with our company involving a property valued at ₦600,000,000 under clearly defined installment payment terms.
– The buyer failed to fulfill the payment obligations, breaching the contract terms.
– The parties agreed to terminate the contract and accept a refund, with Mr. Udezu withdrawing a petition submitted to the EFCC.
– Despite this, Mr. Udezu has spread misleading narratives through social media, attempting to damage Chief Oguejiofor’s reputation.

Evidence of withdrawal of the petition from the EFCC by the complainant is hereby attached (see attached documents).

The allegations being circulated are misleading, malicious, and entirely inconsistent with the facts surrounding the transaction. The transaction was lawfully halted and the sale revoked in accordance with the contractual provisions that governed the agreement.

As the ancient Roman legal maxim states, “Audi alteram partem” — hear the other side. Fair hearing is a fundamental principle of justice, and it is essential that all parties are given the opportunity to present their case before judgment is passed.

We demand:
– Immediate retraction of false statements
– Removal of offending content
– Public apology from Mr. Udezu

Attempts to discredit Chief Oguejiofor’s character through distorted online narratives cannot erase a long-established record of ethical business conduct.

Chief Austin C. Oguejiofor remains committed to lawful business practices, transparency, and the continued development of the real estate sector in Nigeria.

We urge members of the public to disregard the circulating allegations and to rely only on verified information and due legal processes.
