Obi Cubana’s Elder Brother, Ikenna Iyiegbu, Declares for 2027 House of Reps Race Under APGA
Ikenna Iyiegbu, elder brother of businessman Obinna Iyiegbu (Obi Cubana), has officially declared his intention to contest the House of Representatives seat for Idemili North and South Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections.
He made the declaration at his country home in Oba and later shared the announcement on social media, writing: “Service to the great people of Idemili North & South Federal Constituency.”
Iyiegbu revealed that he will be contesting under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
This will not be his first attempt at the seat. He previously contested the same position in 2023 but lost to the Labour Party candidate, Uchenna Okonkwo.
The renewed ambition comes as political activities gradually build toward the 2027 elections.
It would be recalled that his younger brother, Obi Cubana, was recently appointed Southeast Coordinator for the City Boy Movement — a group mobilising support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
