Abig Nwankwo Convenes Inauguration of City Boy Movement Anambra South Chapter as Obi Cubana presides
The Anambra State Chapter of the City Boy Movement (CBM) was officially inaugurated on Saturday, 7th of March, 2026 in Okija. The event was convened by the Anambra South Coordinator of the movement, Ichie Ken Abig Chimezie Nwankwo (Owelle Okija), whose coordination brought together stakeholders, members, and supporters of the organization from across Anambra south region.
The inauguration was presided over by the South East Director of the City Boy Movement, Chief Obinna Iyiegbu (Obi Cubana, Chairman Cubana Group), who charged the newly appointed executives to advance grassroots mobilization and promote awareness of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Chief Iyiegbu stressed that the City Boy Movement is non-partisan, welcoming members from all political affiliations committed to youth inclusion, unity, and the progress of Ndi Igbo and Nigeria.
Speaking at the event, Ichie Ken Abig Nwankwo, who hosted the event, emphasized that the inauguration marks a significant milestone in strengthening the City Boy Movement’s structure, influence, and dedication to youth-led development across Anambra State.
The newly inaugurated leadership is headed by Chief Nonso Ọzọemena (Ugogbe Anam), with Chief Cletus Oragwa (Zenco) as Patron, Sir Johnbosco Onunkwo as Coordinator, Comrade Tochukwu Obiadi as Secretary, Adaora Soludo as Women Coordinator, and Chiejina Obieze as Youth Coordinator, among others.
The inauguration also featured the distribution of palliatives to vulnerable groups for the Lenten season, reflecting the movement’s commitment to community service and social responsibility.
The ceremony concluded with a renewed commitment from the newly inaugurated executives to advance the vision and objectives of the movement.
