Court Sentences Three persons to Death for Rivers State Pharmacist’s Murder
A High Court in Port Harcourt has sentenced three men to death by hanging for the murder of a pharmacist in Khana Local Government Area.
The trial judge, Augusta Chukwu, delivered the judgment this Friday, convicting Confidence Kirinee, Precious Monia and Soniabari Sagha for conspiracy, cultism, kidnapping and murder.
Another defendant, Loveday Legah, was found guilty of cultism and sentenced to life imprisonment.
The court heard that the convicts, who were members of the Iceland cult group, kidnapped and killed pharmacist Muenalo Sunday in Zaakpo community in March 2019.
The prosecution counsel, Precious Ordu, described the judgment as justice for the deceased and the society.
